Mitt Romney is a horrible person.Gay Veteran Talks To Mitt Romney - ABC News
Hi Mitt Romney! Byyyeeeeeee Mitt Romney!
Let’s all pass this around!
How can anyone, much less someone running for President, look another person in the face and tell them they are not worthy of equal rights? Gross.
The three grossest things about Mitt Romney in this video:
1. The unapologetic, brazen use of institutional bigotry to acquire power and wealth.
2. The way he uses the rhythm, timing, and intonation of his speech to equate him “serving his church” to the veteran’s serving in the Vietnam War. Mind you, Romney’s “service” was a decade before the Mormon church decided that black people had souls.
3. His constitutional argument against gay marriage is thus, “I think at the time the constitution was written it was pretty clear that marriage was between a man and a woman, and I don’t believe the supreme court has changed that.” Here are some other things that were “pretty clear” at the time of the constitution’s writing
- The age of sexual consent ranges from 10 to 16, depending on state.
- Black people are subhuman (True to Mormons until 1978!).
- You can slap your wife around and she can’t vote, or anything else really.
- It’s perfectly acceptable to let children work until they fall over dead.
- And bunches of others. Add yours to the list!
The U.S. Constitution does not address marriage. Nowhere does it give the federal government the power to restrict marriage. The Ninth Amendment does however, guarantee that the people have rights not limited to those listed in the Constitution or Bill of Rights. Why not let marriage equality be one of those?
Duh.
Mitt Romney is lying about the way our country works.
I basically couldn’t handle watching this until just now, but dang. Crying at work. Hero. Hero. Hero.
Mitt Romney is the worst, and I lament that I only had once chance to vote against him as governor.
